Fajne. A masz Giwati? Podoba mi się ich odznaka: lisek naostrzył sobie pazurki o bagnet, wyczesał futerko na kolcach kaktusa i poszedł oglądać ćwiczenia brygady Giwati.  ;)
Jak masz inne wojskowe znaczki, to daj, chętnie obejrzymy!  :)

Wedding Ring Italy, 17th c
The wedding ring plays a central role in the ceremony in which bride and groom are declared husband and wife. These extremely lavish rings – inscribed with the words mazal tov and featuring a tiny house that probably symbolized the Temple or the establishment of a new home – appeared in Ashkenazi communities in Germany and Italy as far back as the 13th century. Their large size indicates that they were only used for the ceremony, after which they were either kept by the family or given to the community.

The Rothschild Miscellany Northern Italy, 1470?

Vellum, handwritten, pen and ink, tempera and gold leaf; gift of James A. de Rothschild, London, the Israel Museum, Jerusalem. Coil, no. 180/51.

The Rothschild Miscellany is one of the finest Hebrew illuminated manuscripts. Almost every one of its 948 pages is richly decorated with colourful paintings and gold leaf.

The book which comprises about forty different compositions, includes biblical books, a prayer book for the whole year, halakhic books (Jewish law) and historical and scientific books.

The manuscript which belonged to the Rothschild family library in Paris, disappeared during the Second World War and reappeared after the war, when it was offered for sale in New York.

Ja co prawda nie znam osobiście nikogo z Izraela, tym bardziej z Giwati, ale ten ich znaczek bardzo mi się podoba. I piosenka - była kiedyś na Erec Israel.
