No tak - jelonek daniel z Ustronia - on ma tam bezpiecznie, teren ogrodzony i oszołomów nie wpuszczają.
Ale chyba w Izraelu jelonki powinny być pod ochroną - skoro kwiatki są (w każdym razie nie wolno ich zrywać - tak mówiła nam przewodniczka). Myślę, że Izrael bardzo mądrze dba o przyrodę...

w lesie w israelu??? u nas las to 3 drzewa na krzyz... nie ma porownania z lasami w polsce czy wogole w europie, oprocz tego od lat sie nie zapuszcze tam, bo moge spotkac jakiegos pragnacego tych 72 dziewic...

Ale gdzieś te jelonki mieszkają. Nie wiem, co jedzą, bo trawy to za dużo nie macie - dolne piętro lasu - runo leśne to chyba istnieje w formie szczątkowej ze względu na klimat. Ale lasy macie - inne, niż u nas w Polsce, ale są. Coś ci arabowie w końcu palili...

Two species of fallow deer are known. One is still common in Europe and northern Asia over a wide area; the other was formerly found in river bank flora in Israel, Syria, Iraq and Persia. Today, however, there are only about 200 individuals of this species left, living among thickets, poplars and tamarisks of the Dez River valley in Persia.

The bones and antlers of this lovely deer were discovered in considerable numbers among the prehistoric finds of digs on Mount Carmel, in Galilee and the Jordan Valley, and there is no doubt that large numbers of fallow deer once lived in the country. Tristram, the first modern investigator of Holy Land fauna, reported on fallow deer he had seen at Mount Tabor, so that it is quite likely that a hundred years ago, forests were still providing a haven for the last of this species. International efforts are now being made to save the fallow deer, and Israel is eagerly awaiting its return to its homeland.

Daniel mezopotamski (dama mesopotamica) jest zagrożony wyginięciem. Jest to tzw. populacja irańska daniela, uważana często za podgatunek.

Over-hunting and the cutting down of the woods caused the decline and elimination of the Roe Deer population. The entry of weapons in Israel at the end of the 19th Century meant that the Roe Deer was on the verge of becoming extinct and at the beginning of the 20th Century the last of its kind in Israel was hunted and caught.

During the last twenty years, attempts have been made to create a  breeding core at "Hay-Bar". in Carmel. In 1998 a number of Roe Deers were reintroduced to Ramat HaNadiv Park, South Carmel, in order to bring back one of the most beautiful deers to the Israeli landscape.
